DINOSAUR ISLE
OPEN ALL YEAR
Have a Jurassic day out and visit the all-weather Dinosaur Isle
museum. The building is designed to echo the form of a soaring
pterosaur and houses interactive displays and animated life-sized
dinosaurs in a reconstructed landscape. Displays use clever
lighting, artwork, sound, smells and animatronics technology to
create an exciting experience.
Dinosaur Isle is also home to a team of palaeontologists, analysing
newly discovered remains from recent digs in a fully equipped
laboratory. Over 1,000 fossils from the Island tell the story of the
Island's ancient past, when dinosaurs such as the Neovenator roamed
the local coastline.
